Donation for the Victims of Lamjung and Gorkha Areas.

Nepal EarthQuake Relief Fund Raiser

All the donations will directly make an impact on the affected areas of Lamjung and Gorkha (The epicenter and surroundings). We all know that foreign aid is coming to Nepal but it has been misused. There are already so many news of Nepali Officials being corrupted using the aid for their own benefit. Also, all the foreign aid is centralized in Kathmandu and only very few eyes have been set away from Kathmandu. We will not send your donation to any organization neither is it going through Nepal government. Donations will be transferred to an Individual, Mr. Swatantra Hamal, a social and health worker of Saatbise, Lamjung. He has been working actively providing relief to the victims. He has given all he could. Now he doesnt have anything to give to the people. Now its up to us to help him. Now, this all depends up on our trust on each other. You do not need to have a paypal account to donate. Just click on the link that is left of the log-in Box. Thanks

CHAIT!!

rato dharke dhago chod!
From a roof top came a thrilling voice
Whilst the scorching sun and the gust ful wind
A little boy stares toward the sun
sweat and dust in innumerable amount
yet he struggles to squint his eyes

I on the other roof top
with fear try to take on his kite
His kite, blue in disguise swirls over mine
A fierce battle high up in the sky
All the tricks i know i used then.
suddenly another thrilling voice
My mother,"dhwang dhwang bhayo cchat."
And there goes my kite!
Sails away my rato dharke
dishonor in my eyes,
"hyatteri chait bhayo. Tesko mahango raicha dhago."

Will the boys of now
Realize what they are missing?
Or has the wind stopped?
Dashain has lost the glory of winning over the skies
and won the victory over the hearts and spades.

Either way,
Enjoy your Dashain. Dashain is celebrated to CELEBRATE the winning  of good over evil.
Hope we all win over our own inner laziness, evil, sorrows,  and pain.

Trishuli ko Tin muhaan

The girl with earrings

I grew an inch taller,
And the World was a little weirder.

My face fancied the pimples,
And my heart nurtured an impulse.

I wouldn’t understand the world,
And I didn’t need to.

The ground couldn’t catch up with me,
The feet didn’t seem to.

The kingdom was blood shedding,
And I loved the girl with earrings.

Days and nights passed away thinking,
Will she ever be with me?
Or will I just end up wondering?

Another of the strikes in my town.
And I start to leave my home.

Barely above my teens,
I said, “Hey, Lets go see the overseas.”

The heaps of years took its birth,
I blinked and the years elapsed.

Where does the memories fade to?

I seem to keep walking with them

I keep meeting new people,
And the numbers gradually add up.

The people of my school
Where have all of you been?

And the girl that sat beside me
Are you still pretty?

The desk where I sat,
Does the sun still shine bright at three?

Could my youth be given back?
I haven’t had a farewell to my eighteen.

Time, should you must always run
My parents keep getting old.

A flower bloomed today

But will anyone notice when it withers away?

Struggle in the kitchen

Struggling through the heavily frozen packed and the plastic wrapped box, I finally get the chicken out.  With a careful aim and careless misses, I cut the chicken into parts.
It is now time for me to throw the chicken into the boiling hot pan. The oil splashes and reaches for my skin. It makes a mark. But neither do I rub myself in pain nor do I feel numb.  I get back to my memories and recall the smell of past and the sound of my mother's bangles crank.
Early morning for my school, still in bed and I hear the thunders above my head. I wake up to the sound and scream to my mom. With the whatsoever energy left from the morning chores and preparation for my breakfast and lunch, she was struggling to smear and tear the tomatoes on the stone slab. My favorite golbhedako achar. Unnoticed; her effort, grieve in my own pain, " what's for today's lunch?"
Later that evening, after the school, I run home. I throw away my clothes and socks, show a sad face and speak in disdain, "Why mother again the same lunch?"
I've heard my name and I've heard the pressure cooker blow the whistle plenty of times. I hear my name again and the sound gets closer and closer with every steps. My mother opens the door but I've locked it, the same room that she cleans when I'm not home.  "Son, come for dinner, it's getting cold. Daal Bhaat ani timro favorite maasu ra golbhedako achar!"
The smoke detector blares and I see the black smoke and the chicken is almost burnt. And I ask myself why did I tell her, "Please give me a moment!” with the phone in my hand. I was rather too busy with my friends and myself and not complement her even once for all the efforts she had done.
With my effort to get that tang of taste of my mother’s hand on my taste buds, I think precisely how she makes food. From the shelves, I take out different spices with weird names and this time I don't even use the canned tomatoes. I’ve cut the tomatoes too into pieces. Soon, the smell seems good enough and I garnish it with cilantro.  A handful goes into mouth, and I'm still thinking and dying to eat my mother's food. What is missing in my food is the selfless love of my mother.
If you have made mistakes and made your mother unhappy, it's never late to talk to her. A mother is happy when her children are happy but she is happier when you show her that you love her.
